Traditional weddings while still common have fallen in popularity in recent years due to the rise of themed weddings. Brides and grooms all of the world seize the opportunity to take advantage of the celebratory nature of their wedding and do something fun with it. For some brides and grooms a themed wedding means holding the ceremony and reception at an outdoor location rather than a community center or church. For others it means dressing as their favorite movie or television characters and encouraging and sometimes requiring their guests do the same.

Themed weddings not only include costumes or exotic locales but food and an Orange County wedding band that complete a specific weddings theme. A good example of this would be a 1920s themed wedding complete with a live band that plays jazz and ragtime and food that is reflective of that period of time. Other themed weddings sometimes include a tribute band that reflects the personal tastes of the bride and groom. There are also those weddings held at beaches which might include Hawaiian themed food and music complete with hula dancers and Hawaiian wedding rituals.

Wedding Themes Include:

  • Beach/Tropical weddings
  • Park weddings
  • Ethnic weddings
  • Costumed weddings
  • Casual weddings
  • Movie/Musical themed weddings

It’s not difficult to see why themed weddings have gained so much popularity over the last few years. Not only do they offer a bride, groom, and their guests something a bit different but they’re also, more often than not, more affordable. Themed weddings are more easily ingrained in the minds of those who participate in one than are those of a more traditional nature which is of course what every bride and groom wants from their wedding.
