Orange County wedding bands more often than not offer services that fall outside of simply entertaining a crowd. Many of these bands also possess extensive knowledge about how to turn a banquet room or any other room a wedding is being held in into one that boasts the atmosphere the bride and groom are looking for and one that will make any room warm, cozy, and welcoming. More often than not included in this broad base of knowledge is knowledge of lighting and even timing. An Orange County wedding band that knows when to play and what to play at specific times or moments is far more valuable than a wedding band who plays only when instructed and is incapable of reading “the moment”.

Many of these wedding bands come complete with staff members who are more than proficient at setting up lighting for any events. This is extremely important because it’s not just music that makes a wedding memorable it is the atmosphere and moods created by the lighting as well. Bad lighting can make a wedding less memorable than those involved would want it to be and can also make a wedding band look bad if the lighting on them isn’t right.

In most cases wedding bands who also offer lighting services will normally recommend 15 to 30 lighting fixtures for an average banquet hall. Normally these lights run about $40 per fixture but sometimes come at a discounted rate when a band is hired far in advance of a wedding. Additionally most of the lights set up for both the band and the other areas of a wedding will consist of multiple colors to help place emphasis on certain locations or people. The majority of weddings will see ambient lighting set up to create a cozy mood around the dance floor and the band while brighter lighting will be set up around food, restrooms, and exits.
